Exercise # 23

1. What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
I really enjoyed the majority of the exercises. While a couple were somewhat
of a challenge for me to master, it was good practice and I have my cheat sheet
for the future. If I had to name a few favorites then the podcasts and utube.

2. How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
Wow, this has been an exploration of technology...some of which I didn't even
know existed. I believe that I have a better understanding of how they work as
well as how they can be utilitized which will assist me in providing our patrons
with better customer service.

3. Were there any take-a-ways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
It surprised me that I got through some of the exercises. I really sas a lot
of ways that wikis could be utilized on the library's webpage. There were also
several blog sites that were great for reader advisory. Flicker was fun.

4. What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept? And last but not least…If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you choose to participate?
I
thought the whole format was well thought out and once I figured out what I was
suppose to do...it was easy to follow. I had a great time building a blog and
learning all the available technologies. I really can't think of anything
different that I would have you change. The "fun day" was great and a big help
getting us started. And yes I would sign up for similiar programs. This was fun
and a challenging learning experience.

Exercise #22

Netlibrary is a very useful source. Especially when one is doing research since the majority of the ebooks are non-fiction. Most of the books have searchable indexes or you can even do a keyword search. Some of ebooks from Netlibrary can be downloaded. Project Gutenburg is a great resource for the classics.

Exercise #21

I did find several library related podcasts such as a Harry Potter review and the Library Channel which I did add to my Bloglines.

Exercise #20

I just love Incubus!

Exercise #19

I played around with a couple but got stuck on music especially Pandora. It was a lot of fun just see what they had. The young adults/teen would enjoy this...they probably already know about it though.

Exercise #18

Very interesting. Liked the emotions!
